This was a very successful social and charity event - $520 sales in raffle tickets and a further $814 on the day from table fees, donations and sales of donated foods. Thanks to those who contributed soup and helped with food service.

Bridge saw an above average attendance of 14 tables. Before play commenced Lorraine Lindsay entertained us with a touch of history regarding founding President Jean Pelham who got BWBC started back in the '80s.

Club Mixed Pairs Championship

Twenty pairs competed of whom 14 were mixed pairs. Session winners were Lorraine Lindsay & Jan Davis by 3 matchpoints over 2021 Mixed Pairs Champions Sylvia Foster & Jaan Oitmaa

Held over two sessions on 17 & 24 March, Champions are Team Ampherlaw (Helve Beale - Ian Newton - Jo Ampherlaw - Linda Cunningham - Harry Haberlin) by 2 VPs over Team Harrison (Suzanne Harrison - Jann Small - John Aldersley - Beryl Lowry) and in third place Team Byrne (Fay Cole - Denyse Stephens - Wendy Byrne - Caroline Nichols).

Eight teams competed under the watchful eye of Director Sylvia.

Congratulations to Team Clarke - Jan Clarke - Alan Bustany - Sally Clarke - Garry Clarke who won the championship with 70.18 VPs. Fighting out the minor placings were Team Brandt (Dasha Brandt - David Bowerman - Gwen White - Alfie Nation) 62.82 VPs and Team Wulff (Judy Wulff - Robyn Scahill - Susan McCall - Pam Joseph) 61.99 VPs.
